Dutch DJ/producer Sander Van Doorn is one of my favourite artists and this week he released the album ‘Eleve11′ on Sept 19th which features progressive house and a couple trance tracks. Some of the tunes have already playing on the radio and at shows around the world such as his summer hit ‘Koko’ (which has a couple nice remixes too). ‘Love is Darkness’ and ‘Drink to Get Drunk’ are two more previously released tracks you are sure to have heard before (If you have enjoyed his previous releases you are sure to enjoy this one). It also features some other heavy hitting artists such as Laidback Luke, Sidney Samson and Nada Ali.
Sander Van Doorn plays a wide range of styles but this cd is mostly a mix of trance and progressive house. Some of the tracks seem like a blend of somewhere inbetween, but I’m not into genre slicing.
Near completion of the album he shared ‘Track 12′ and gave it away to fans for free prior to the release of the album. You can’t possibly release an album titled Eleve11 with 12 tracks, that would just be nonsense!!
Overall its a pretty good album, I’ve only listened to it a few times but I’ve chosen a couple of my favourite tracks. Still, it was difficult picking just a couple from the release to share.
1. Love is Darkness (Extended Mix)
3. Believe feat. Tom Helsen
5. Rolling The Dice with Sidney Samson and Nada Ali
Nice catchy synth lead with this one.
6. Beyond Sound (The Godskitchen Urban Wave mix)
7. Timezone feat. Frederick
8. Drink To Get Drunk
9. Who’s Wearing the Cap with Laidback Luke
10. Slap My Pitch Up
This one builds up into a really nice club track with some catchy synth stabs.
11. Eagles with Adrian Lux
Eagles, Who’s Wearing the Cap and Drink to get drunk are good along with previously released Koko and Love is Darkness, not many bad tracks on this at all!
So now that you’ve sampled a couple tracks go pick it up on Beatport!
I could’nt find his Essential Mix from 2009 streaming but here’s one from 2006 instead… He’s done a few, not surprisinglyhttp://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/12849552
